But Dr. Combs' impact extends beyond mere bricks and mortar. Uptown Sky is a new 23-million-dollar construction development, located in Tampa, Florida. The 61-unit community, consisting of 2 bed 2 bath & 3 bed 2 bath apartments, caters to working families and individuals. Amenities include a computer lab, community room, laundry room, playground, pool and a food truck area.

Harvest Hope Park

Harvest Hope Park sits on 7 acres of land in the heart of the Uptown/University Area. The park opened in Nov. 2019 and serves as a resident-friendly space that encourages family play, healthy eating, environmental sustainability, education and community interaction.  Harvest Hope Park features a community garden, teaching kitchen, multi-purpose sports field, playground, outdoor fitness stations, walking trail, fish pond and splash zone.

Outdoor Pavillion & Bandshell

The pavilion basketball court consisted of laying concrete sidewalks with eight footings and 588 square feet of concrete slab. The structure is a metal building with gutters and a metal canopy. Block and brick walls encase the serving area with base cabinets and concrete countertops. The band shell was carefully crafted with a rounded stucco structure to ensure quality audio and a solid foundation. A shade structure above the stage grants performers comfort from the heat.

Sound & Secure Homes

Sound & Secure Housing is the first of its kind - an innovative approach to affordable homeownership for single mothers. Through taking a modular housing product and reengineering it to fit the Florida Building code and pass inspection, this lease to purchase housing product has received several accolades and seed funding investors allowing the creation of the first two modular units. 

Project Complete

University Townhomes is a home ownership product which will consist of 3 bedroom 2½ bathroom, energy efficient units with1,350 square feet. This innovated homeownership product is built with families in mind as well creating energy efficiencies where possible. This development was designed to create homeownership for the Workforce population.

Cultural Campus

The mission of the Cultural Campus is to serve as a navigational hub, connecting community residents with anchored partners and businesses who are providing direct programing, services and economic growth opportunities through a holistic approach. This development entails 4 phases with a total cost of $15 million.

The Warehouse

The Warehouse is a reuse project, taking an existing warehouse structure on the property, creatively adapting it to new use and serving as a touchstone to the site’s history. Once complete, The Warehouse will provide 4,800 sq ft of flexible space for small meetings and large gatherings alike. The building will accommodate a diversity of offerings, such as co-working space, educational workshops, art classes, health & wellness programming, and immigration & legal services.

Economic Development Center

The Economic Development Center is a newly constructed 12,000 sq ft development created to assist families and individuals in achieving their highest potential. The center will include commercial capacity for local businesses, office space, workforce development and healthcare services. This phase also incorporates the construction of a beautiful outdoor plaza that ties the campus together in an intentional way, building community efficacy and engagement.
